School jumps into new mural

By Joanna Catalano

Melbourne Water collaborated with Truganina South Primary School and local artists Bryan Itch, Rich Keville and Benzo to create a new mural in Truganina.

The mural, which is across from Truganina South Primary School, features the endangered growling grass frog and is aimed at raising community awareness of the local species.

Melbourne Water funded the project as part of its Frog Census program.

Truganina South Primary School visual arts teacher Gennivieve Collier said the project has encouraged the pupils to drive change in their community.

“The students have enjoyed learning about frogs and the important role they play in our sustainable future,” she said.
