Pets with cat-titude

Here’s the purr-fect opportunity to get a cute portrait of your cat and also raise funds for a good cause.

The Cat Napping Suburban Retreat, which is based in Spotswood, Ravenhall, Hoppers Crossing and Tullamarine, will host Easter Bunny Photos with Cats sessions at two of its locations this week.

Cat Napping founder Ebony Centazzo said she had organised the Easter-themed photo sessions to raise funds for Cat People of Melbourne, a volunteer-run organisation which fosters felines, rehomes them and advocates for cat welfare.

Ms Centazzo said she first heard about Cat People of Melbourne when she posted on her business’ Facebook page, asking if any rescue groups needed some new bedding.

“The following weekend I saw they rescued 20 cats … so I thought they would love some extra support.”

Ms Centazzo said the photo sessions would involve one of her team members dressed up as the Easter rabbit, who would pose with cats.

The photo sessions will be held from 11am-2pm on Saturday at 455 Old Geelong Road, Hoppers Crossing and 11am-2pm on Sunday at 2/25 Lillee Crescent, Tullamarine. Cost: a cat food donation to Cat People of Melbourne.

Bookings required, 8360 3313.
