MELTON was the surprise recipient of a finals double-chance after beating Darley by 25 goals in the Ballarat Netball League second elimination final on Sunday.
The Bloods avoided elimination and ended the Devils’ season with the 56-31 win, then got the good news that Bacchus Marsh had done it a big favour against Redan.
The sixth-placed Cobras’ 48-36 against third-placed Redan means Melton will go to this weekend’s second semi-final against Lake Wendouree where the winner will go straight to the grand final.
The Lakers beat East Point 53-48 in Saturday’s qualifying final, sending East Point to the first semi-final to play Bacchus Marsh.
