Caravan theft shatters Darley family’s dreams

A DARLEY man’s dreams of a family holiday were destroyed when his $40,000 caravan was stolen from his front yard.

The 2011-model caravan was taken last Monday between 11am and 12.15pm, while Michael Crampton was visiting his brother a few kilometres away.

Mr Crampton (pictured with wife Wendy and children Brad and Jasmin) said the theft had shattered plans to take a trip to Cootamundra.

“I’ve lost three kilograms’ weight in two days,” he said. “I’d only used it [the caravan] twice. I was also planning to take the kids to Western Australia over the Christmas break.”

The caravan was loaded with items including

a small barbecue, reclining chairs and a television.

Bacchus Marsh police have urged anyone with information to phone 53664500.
