Cancer survivors shared their stories over a Daffodil Day morning tea at StAndrews Uniting Church in Bacchus Marsh last Friday. Spokeswoman Deb Springer said that with 145 Moorabool residents diagnosed with cancer each year, local involvement in campaigns like Daffodil Day were vital to the Cancer Council continuing its work. “With our prevention programs also reducing cancer risk, survival rates are increasing. Sixtyfourper cent of Victorians now survive at least five years from a cancer diagnosis.” Cheryl, Betty, Phyllis and Bette (pictured) were among those who enjoyed the event.
