MOORABOOL residents are being urged to support a fund-raiser for a special toddler.
Noah Barlow, 2, was born 11 weeks premature and developed several serious conditions, including sensory processing disorder, fructose malabsorption and multiple protein intolerance, which means he’s unable to eat anything.
Instead, he’s fed a special formula into his stomach every three hours.
Things got worse when Noah began having multiple seizures and lost his balance. Eventually he was diagnosed with mitochondrial disease, which means parents Kat and Mark have to watch as their son’s condition slowly deteriorates. An online group of 100 mothers has rallied to help pay Noah’s medical costs.
Residents can help by attending ‘A Special Sprout in a Generous Marsh’ at St Bernards Church, Bacchus Marsh, from 1pm Saturday.
There will be a petting zoo, jumping castle, face painting and entertainment from the Melbourne Singers of Gospel and the Flower Pot Gang. Gold coin donations will go to the family.
