Lerderderg State Park will host a holiday program next week for primary school children.
Parks Victoria’s junior ranger program allows children to discover what lives in and around the Lerderderg River.
They will play I Spy during a ranger-guided walk to Grahams Dam and join in environmental games.
The pupils’ day-out is July 11 from 10am-2pm. Ranger Scott Nicolson says the program is a good way for children to get in touch with nature.
“It’s a great opportunity to get the kids out of the lounge room to experience the fun and natural wonders of local parks,” he said.
Children must be accompanied by an adult and bookings are essential.
