THE Mothers Network of Caroline Springs and Burnside is among groups to benefit from a cash bonus in Melton Council’s community funding program.
Seventeen groups shared in grants worth $56,641. The mothers’ group, which provides a chance for mums of all ages to meet in a friendly environment, received a $3000 grant.
Cr Mammarella said the grant scheme recognised the important contributions that individuals and groups made to the community.
Other grants were awarded to Melton police (Melton Community Safety Register, $2500); Melton Model Aircraft Association ($3090) and Friends of Melton Botanic Gardens ($3441).
