Cash boost for Bacchus Marsh soccer reserve

SOCCER fans in Bacchus Marsh will be kicking goals thanks to new funding for a Masons Lane Recreation Reserve redevelopment.

The state government has committed $100,000 to the upgrade. Fields at the venue will increase from five to six, with two seasonal soccer fields conforming to Football Federation Australia guidelines.

The works will include new home and away change rooms, a social room, canteen, toilets, spectator shelter and storage.

Other tenants at the ground include the Bacchus Marsh Dog Obedience Club, and junior and senior cricket, and baseball clubs. Moorabool Council will contribute $50,000 to the project.
