MOORABOOL mayor Pat Griffin has expressed sympathy for council employee Tim Owen, whose wife died in an accident in the Kimberley last week.
“It’s a tragic event. I really feel for Tim and his family, especially because he saw it happen,” Cr Griffin said. Ballarat’s Janine Owen, 37, is believed to have slipped and fallen 60 metres from a cliff near WA’s Mitchell Falls.
She fell into a pool below the falls and died at the scene. Police took six hours to arrive due to rough terrain.
