Holden on to a driving force

A GROUP of Moorabool car enthusiasts are revelling in technical talk after the creation of a new club. Mal Rogers (pictured) says Bacchus Marsh and District Holden Car Club members meet once a month for a workshop and to talk about pistons, valves, nuts and bolts and anything else that comes up.

The oldest car in the club is a 1948 steel blue FX Holden. “The original owner, one of our members, passed away recently and he left the car to his brother, who’s now also a member,” Mr Rogers said.

The group meets at 7.30pm on the second Thursday of each month at the old Timbrock factory, past Bacchus Marsh racecourse. Details: 0427058714.
