MELTON’S Tabcorp Park has received $100,000 towards new facilities that will include 24 new horse stalls, three horse wash bays, a small catching yard and a storage shed.
The grant will also help fund a Bendigo Harness Racing Industry Training Centre campus at Melton, giving students hands-on experience.
It comes six weeks after a $37,000 grant was announced for mobile barrier countdown clocks at Harness Racing Victoria’s home track.
Welcoming Racing Minister Denis Napthine’s (centre) announcement last week were Ken Latta, Jacob Walls, Samantha Brown and John Randles.
