Melton police seize more vehicles, repeat offenders put on notice

Melton police continue to impound vehicles, with repeat offenders coming under notice.

Five vehicles were impounded last month after eight high-speed incidents on Melton roads.

On May 26, a Sydenham man, 29, had his motorcycle impounded after being caught travelling at 135km/h in High Street, Melton. He will be charged with dangerous driving.

It came a day after an 18-year-old from Rockbank was caught doing 151km/h in his mother’s car on the Western Freeway near Melton.

The man had already had his own vehicle impounded after being observed ‘fishtailing’ in West Melton Drive on April 20.

His mother’s car was impounded and he will be summonsed to appear in Bacchus Marsh Magistrates Court on both matters.
