BACCHUS Marsh is flying the flag for the eastern bloc upstarts of Ballarat Netball League after Melton Bloods sunk to a second straight loss on Saturday.
The Bloods lost 31-48 to East Point, the result ending a fortnight in which Melton has taken on the top two teams on the table and lost.
Bacchus Marsh took third place behind unbeaten Lake Wendouree and second-placed East Point after the Cobras accounted for Sunbury Lions 55-22.
In spite of the double defeat, Melton still sits in the top six by half a game from Darley. The Devils lost 37-51 against Redan in Ballarat at the weekend.
