A WOMAN was killed on the Calder Freeway early Sunday morning when her car was struck after she stopped in the emergency lane. She is yet to be identified.
Police said she was driving a small sedan near Diggers Rest when a ute crashed into her car about 12.15am.
She died at the scene.
A Melton man in his 20s was assisting police with their inquiries.
