Large crowds descended on Ballan for the township’s annual autumn festival.
Visitors were greeted at Ballan train station by giant ‘hale bale’ people, with costumes made by Wombat Regional Arts Network.
The grand parade entertained hordes of people with pet floats, young soccer stars, dancers in vibrant costumes and brass horn musicians from the Ballan Municipal Band. Elsewhere art, craft, food and fashion stalls kept shoppers busy. Shiny vintage cars and motor cycles peppered the streets, while a life drawing class was on offer for those not too shy.
