A 20-goal haul from Melton Centrals shooter Shelby Brady couldn’t lift her side to victory against Rupertswood in the Riddell District Netball League on Saturday.
The Centrals came up 14 goals short, losing 44-30. Melton made a bright start, matching it with Rupertswood throughout the first term. But goals were hard to come by after quarter-time as Rupertswood tightened its defence.
The loss is Melton’s third in the opening five games of the season, which has left the defending champions in a disappointing seventh place.
