Stolen goods found

A Caroline Springs man has been arrested in relation to a string of thefts and burglaries after police found drugs and stolen property at a Flemming Avenue house. The man was not present when police executed a search warrant on the Caroline Springs property but it is alleged he returned to the house with more stolen property. He was charged with burglary, theft, possessing a drug of dependence and possessing proceeds of crime.

Not just any bear

Melton and Bellarine police have helped reunite a woman with stolen property that belonged to her late father, a former Victoria Police Assistant Commissioner. The victim discovered a number of items, including a heritage edition Constable T Bear. being sold online. She alerted Bellarine police, who tracked the “seller” to Caroline Springs. Bellarine police and Melton Crime Investigation Unit officers arrested and charged a 20-year-old Caroline Springs man on April 23. He will appear at Sunshine Magistrates Court at a later date.

More armed robberies

Three armed offenders held up the McDonald’s restaurant on the corner of Ballarat and Robinsons Road in Ravenhall last Wednesday armed with knives and other tools. Police believe the incident is linked to other armed robberies across Melbourne in recent weeks. Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
