Ballarat: Melton get on the board with win over Sebastopol

Melton got itself on the Ballarat Football League winners’ list with a victory against Sebastopol on Saturday night.

The Bloods recovered from a goalless first quarter by kicking six unanswered majors in the second term and taking a 31-point lead into half-time.

Despite Sebastopol fighting out the match, the Bloods remained in control during the second half to secure the 23-point 10.11 (71)-7.6 (48) victory.

The win follows a round-one draw.

The Bloods have a bye this week and will take on Lake Wendouree in round four.

In the reserves, Melton did not concede a goal in the 12.11 (83)-0.6 (6) win over Sebastopol.
