RDFL: Rockbank beaten by Wallan on Anzac Day

Rockbank’s tough start to the Riddell District Football League season continued when it lost to Wallan by 21 points on Anzac Day.

In wind and rain, the Rams fought hard for three quarters as the lead swung between the teams. But after leading by one point at three-quarter time, Rockbank was unable to hit the scoreboard in the final term.

Wallan finished the match full of running, kicking three late goals to secure an 8.11 (59)-5.8 (38) win. Lachlan Calder was the only multiple goal scorer for Rockbank, kicking three majors.

Around the ground, Matthew Marshall worked hard and was named among the Rams’ best players. Rockbank will take on Lancefield this week.
