Anzac Day centenary: Movelle Primary School’s garden tribute

This week, pupils across the western suburbs will remember the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps, and the 100th Anniversary of the Gallipoli landings.

Movelle Primary School pupils will hold a service on Friday in their new Anzac remembrance garden.

Principal Bill Hunt says the school received a state government grant to set up the garden, which includes a wall mural, a patch with poppies and rosemary bushes, and a flag pole.

“It’s been a good discussion point for students to talk about what Anzac Day is about, and other conflicts that Australia has been involved in,” Mr Hunt said.
