Seven goals from Darley’s Jake Edwards got the Devils off to the perfect start in the Ballarat Football League.
Edwards was outstanding from the opening moments of the match, helping to lift his side to a crushing 80-point victory against Sunbury.
Also impressive for Darley was Harley Inglis, who booted five goals in the 23.13 (151) – 10.11 (71) win.
Bacchus Marsh enjoyed a strong 15.11 (101) – 5.7 (37) win against Sebastopol.
Peter Shepherd kicked five goals for the Cobras while around the ground Declan Phyland was among Bacchus Marsh’s best players.
In other BFL results, Lake Wendouree defeated Ballarat and Redan got the better of East Point.
