A road trip to Shepparton yielded the perfect outcome for Melton in the men’s division 1 Big V basketball on Saturday night.
The Thoroughbreds continued their strong start to the year, fighting through a tough first half before running away with the game to lodge an eight-point win.
American import Ivan Harris produced one of his best games for the Thoroughbreds, notching 22 points and six rebounds.
Also impressive was Jeff Crowe, who finished with 15 points after hitting four of his seven three-point attempts. After five rounds, Melton holds a 4-1 record and is on top of the division 1 ladder.
The Thoroughbreds will look to continue their good run of form this weekend when they take on Warrnambool.
