A ‘different’ coffee culture

The Death Café is returning to Bacchus Marsh. Everyone is invited to explore and discuss the topic of death in a safe, friendly environment. The Death Café movement enables people to “drink coffee, eat cake and discuss death”. The third Bacchus Marsh Death Café get-together is on Tuesday, March 3, from 7pm for a 7.30pm start. The hosts will include local people working in palliative care and counselling. RSVP for venue details to Peter Randall on 5367 9647 or peterrandall@live.com.au.

Garden discovery

The Melton Botanic Garden will host one more guided tour during the Sustainable Living Festival 2015. The tour will take visitors through the ever-developing gardens to see plants that tolerate a dry climate. Visitors will find out how the Friends of Melton Botanic Garden are trying to achieve environmental sustainability through solar energy, rainwater use, recycling, reuse and repurposing. The next, and final, tour is on Friday, February 27, from 10am followed by morning tea. The tour is free and the plant nursery will be open for purchases.
