Melton will need to be in its best form with the bat this week in Victorian Sub District Cricket’s north-west division.
The Lions are chasing 242, which was set by Williamstown on Saturday.
Bowling first, Melton met some tough opposition from Seagulls pair Cameron Smith and Craig Sheedy, both making half- centuries to help lift the score beyond 200.
Brad Jones worked hard with the ball for Melton, taking five wickets. The match resumes at the Williamstown Cricket Ground this Sunday.
