Darley was bowled out chasing Napoleons/Sebastopol’s 6-182cc in the Ballarat Cricket Association.
Sending Napoleons/Sebastopol in, Darley had them at 2-32 but then struggled for frequent breakthroughs for the rest of the innings as the middle order ensured a difficult run chase.
Sajith Rupasingha was the best of the bowlers for Darley, taking 3-26.
Darley’s innings had a few promising partnerships then wickets fell in clusters.
Number three Oliver Smith was the mainstay as his side pushed for an unlikely victory. While Smith finished 57 not out, he ran out of partners as Darley fell for 155 with three overs left.
