Kurunjang residents have a new park to enjoy, with work on Archer Drive Reserve completed earlier this month – in time for the warmer months.
Melton mayor Bob Turner said the council was proud to create places the community could enjoy.
“I hope residents embrace this wonderful new space and use it to its full capacity, now and well into the future,” he said.
The park has a multi-purpose basketball and netball court, barbecue and picnic seating, shelter with seating, and a drinking
fountain.
The council invested $500,000 from its 2013-14 budget to develop the new reserve .
Cr Turner said the council was committed to promoting community health and well-being.
Works for a new park at Atherstone are expected to begin next year following approval of a state government grant.
