It’s history, granted, at St Anthony of Padua Primary School

Pupils will delve into the history at St Anthony of Padua Primary School after a $35,500 grant from the state government.

The school will partner with Arena Theatre to create a virtual world using digital art, sound, video design and iPad technology to create stories within the school grounds. Principal Damien Schuster and deputy principal Bernadette Cameron welcomed the announcement, which the school is “absolutely thrilled about”.

“The project will enable St Anthony’s to identify and celebrate the unique character of the school and the broader Melton community,” Mr Schuster said.

“It will encourage collaboration of community members and the creation of a whole-school narrative.”

The Melton South school is one of five to have been awarded arts grants.
