Bacchus Marsh car crash: Man fights for life, two seriously injured

One man is fighting for his life and a couple are seriously injured after a car crash in Bacchus Marsh.

Ambulance Victoria paramedics said a man in his 60s was critically injured, suffering multiple fractures and abrasions after two cars collided on the Bacchus Marsh-Geelong Road just before 8pm.

Two people in the other car, a woman in her 70s and a man in his 60s or 70s, have also been taken to hospital.

The woman was taken via helicopter to The Alfred in Melbourne in a serious condition with leg fractures and abdominal injuries while the man, who suffered leg and shoulder injuries, was taken by road ambulance to the Royal Melbourne.

Police remain on the scene.
