CHFL: Bungaree’s mean defence sets up victory

Bungaree conceded just one goal on its way to a 49-point win against Creswick in the Central Highlands Football League on Saturday.

The major came in the second term, when Creswick was able to kick 1.5 for the quarter to the Demons’ 1.3.

But that was the highlight of the day for Creswick as Bungaree raced to the easy win, 9.10 (64) to 1.9 (15).

Matthew Sheridan, Luke Mirtschin and Shaun Finlayson each kicked two, while Creswick’s only goal came through Tyson Randall.

Bungaree is on top of the ladder with a 12-0 record, but that will be put to the test this week when it takes on second-placed Buninyong.
