Melton hockey teams had mixed results in weekend Victorian Hockey League action.
The Mustangs women’s league 2 team had an easy 5-0 win against Bayside Cougars, with Laura Brown scoring two goals while Alannah Berns, Sarah Gorton and Jessica Spence added one each.
The women’s reserves side defeated the Cougars 1-0. Both men’s league 3 teams were on the receiving end of thrashings from St Bedes.
The men’s senior side lost 7-1, with Andrew Arnold scoring the Mustangs’ only goal.
It was the same scoreline for the reserves, with Ben Hanley-Woodbridge the Mustangs’ goal scorer. The women’s metro 3 north-west team was defeated 6-0 by Brunswick.
