Unscheduled stop

A driver lost control of his four-wheel-drive, which flipped on its side and stopped in a paddock near Beatties Road in Melton. The eight-seater, with trailer, was east-bound on the Western Freeway last Friday about noon when the male driver lost control of the vehicle which left the road, entered farmland and overturned. The “lucky” driver was left with minor injuries following the accident. Three police members and an ambulance crew attended the scene. Sergeant Marty Wallace, of the Caroline Springs police, said the car was a write-off, while the trailer, believed to be carrying signage, was substantially damaged. “He’s a very, very lucky man to come out with so little injury,” Sergeant Wallace said. … Priscilla Moca
