Mirella Moschen is “kissing” multiple sclerosis goodbye.
The 38-year-old Hillside resident is using a combination of medication, physiotherapy, acupuncture and other natural remedies to manage the disease.
MS, which affects the central nervous system and interferes with messages between the brain and other parts of the body, has no known cure. “I cherish the people in my life and I still manage to live an active lifestyle,” she said.
Kiss Goodbye to MS is a month-long fund-raiser that encourages people to wear red lipstick or something red to raise money for research into the cause of, and a cure for, MS.
