Family day at Woodgrove to help fight crime

Bugs Bunny and friends will help police and emergency services staff spread the word at an Operation Safe Family day at Woodgrove shopping centre this Saturday.

Melton police, including highway patrol officers and members of the family violence unit, will be on hand to provide crime
prevention advice.

Motorists can have one-way number plate screws fitted to their cars, and an accredited restraint fitter will install and check child restraints.

Inspector Stephen Mutton said the Melton council-supported event was a great chance for residents to meet local police and get advice on how to prevent crime in their community.

Saturday’s family day is from 10am to 2pm in the High Street car park opposite Hogs Breath Cafe.
