Life will be a little easier for patients struggling with medical bills, with a Melton clinic introducing bulk-billed computed tomography (CT) scans.
“Patients were paying over $200 per scan,’’ Lake Imaging regional manager Eddy Cattapan said.
‘‘Now it’s free and will be covered under Medicare. We know there are people who put off going to medical appointments because of costs, so we have introduced this to pass on the savings to the patients.”
Mr Cattapan said about 25 CT scans were completed at the clinic every day.
