Bowls Victoria: Melton beaten in division 3 grand final

Melton had an up and down weekend in Bowls Victoria’s division 3 finals, comfortably winning its semi-final on Saturday before being beaten equally ‘comfortably’ in the grand final on Sunday.

Melton won through to the final with a thumping 96-65 win over Werribee on Saturday but found the going much tougher in the final against Hoppers.

Melton struggled all afternoon, with Hoppers taking the premiership 107-67. Melton won the division 5 flag with a tight 84-79 win over Deer Park and the division 7 flag with a 91-62 win over Aberfeldie.
