assaults at shopping centre

Police have investigated two assaults near a bus stop at Woodgrove shopping centre on February 17. Both incidents occurred just after 4pm. A 15-year-old has been cautioned for the assault of a security officer, and a 21-year-old Melton man will be charged on summons for the minor assault of a 15-year-old girl.

music equipment stolen

A storage shed in Plumpton Road was broken into overnight on February 17. Offenders stole music equipment including a mixer, subwoofer and control desk. In a separate incident on the same day, a $65,000 camper trailer was stolen from the front yard of a house in The Parkway, Caroline Springs. Large amounts of cash and jewellery were taken from a house in Gunnawarra Road, Kurunjang, between February 12 and 18.

ravenhall break-in attempted

Police are appealing for information after a failed break-in at an electrical trade store in Westwood Drive, Ravenhall, on February 18. A red Mazda 121 was seen at the scene about 4.30am. The driver was described as a Caucasian man in his 20s. He was wearing a tan hat and shorts, a yellow T-shirt, black jumper, black socks and white runners.

junk mail set on fire

Three Melton youths were seen setting fire to junk mail and throwing it onto a resident’s front lawn about 6am on February 16. In a separate incident on the same day, graffiti was sprayed on the exterior walls of the Freemasons temple in Palmerston Street, Melton. Information to Crime Stoppers: 1800 333 000

darley fire station graffitied

CFA volunteers say they are “very disappointed” after the Darley fire station was graffitied by vandals while firefighters were attending to a blaze. Bacchus Marsh police are seeking information about the vandalism, which happened on the
