Melton Waves was the place to be last week, with thousands of people like Yusus Kolatoly (pictured) seeking refuge from extremely hot weather.
Large crowds made the most of the centre’s cool pools as temperatures soared past 40 degrees on four straight days.
Centre manager Jodie Potter said Tuesday, Thursday and Friday were the busiest days.
“It was extremely busy last week, as it is any time there’s a heatwave,” she said.
“We had some times where we had about 2000 people in the centre at the one time.”
