Melton Centrals have fallen a game off top-four pace after a five-wicket loss to St Johns in A-turf on Saturday.
Abhishek Aggarwal (22) and Matthew Murphy (25) were the only batsmen to pass 20 as Centrals were all out by the 35th over for 134 at Blackwood Reserve.
St Johns reached 5-136 in reply by the 33rd over, dropping Melton Centrals (21 points) to sixth on the table behind Bellbridge (24) and Williamstown Imperials (fourth, 27).
Melton South is still ninth on the table (12) after a 57-run loss to Williamstown Imperials.
The Imps scored 219 before bowling out South for 162 in reply.
Tristan Francis (4-40) and Daniel Jackson (3-44) were South’s best with the ball. Michael Pisani (78) was the only South batsman to score more than 15.
