Ballan missed out on the Twenty20 District Competition Cup as VRI Delacombe won the final by four wickets on Sunday.
Ballan didn’t bat out its 20 overs as it made 108. VRI Delacombe reached 6-109 by the 15th over.
Zac Graham (33) top-scored for Ballan. In first grade, Darley slumped on Saturday to be out for 90 against visiting Wendouree.
Tim Hughes (32) top-scored, but his dismissal left Darley reeling at 7-45.
Clint Salisbury (26) and Ben Longhurst (16) shared an innings-high 25-run partnership, but the Lions were all-out by the 57th over.
Wendouree was 0-52 at stumps. The game continues on Saturday.
