WDCA: Francis agonisingly short of century for Melton South

Melton South’s Tristan Francis fell one run short of a ton as he set up a total of 246 on day one against Williamstown Congs on Saturday.

Francis’ 99 and 52 for Blake Ivory were the top scores.

A late wicket for Michael Pisani means the Congs will resume at 1-0.

Melton Centrals also batted first on Saturday, with Steven Robertson (50), Adam Hulett (44) and Daniel Vastuja (40) the top scorers as the team reached 261 against West Newport.
