Layla proves Melton has got talent, and plenty of it

Melton’s Layla Lopez has sung her way to success by winning the under-15 section of the 2013 Melton Star Search.

Layla, also an accomplished dancer, performed Natalie Cole’s Orange Coloured Sky at the October 5 final.

The annual contest showcases the talents of Melton performers aged 7-25.

Age group winners get free music and dance lessons and the chance to make a record. Under-25 winner Jordan Morrison will record a single to be played on Melton community radio 97.9FM.
