Salon’s pink plea for cancer survivors

A Melton hair salon is going pink to support clients who have experienced breast cancer.

Kristy, Amanda, Hayleigh and Joy, of H’s Place Hair Studio, have decked out the salon in pink and are offering special hair treatments to raise money for the Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) during October. They hope to raise $3000.

“We’ve had about six clients in the past six months who have been diagnosed with breast cancer,” Hayleigh said.

‘‘Some have had their breasts removed, some haven’t needed to do that, and others haven’t been as fortunate.”

Residents can donate to the cause or get some pink hair foils, with proceeds going straight to BCNA.

The salon is also holding raffles, with a range of health and beauty prizes on offer.
