NITRO THUNDER

Championship racing returns to Calder Park on October 16, with the venue hosting a round of the national drag racing series for the first time since 2001. Top fuel dragsters, top bikes and pro stock motorcycles will compete for championship points. Tickets available at the gate. General admission $35, concession $20, children 12 and under free.

MELTON SENIORS’ FESTIVAL

Get involved with movies, arts and crafts, a dinner dance, leisure activities and a vitality expo from October 2-13. It’s part of the Victorian Seniors Festival, which features more than 1000 free or low-cost events across the state.
