Big V: Melton’s Crowe wins MVP

Melton’s Jeff Crowe capped a stellar year for the Thoroughbreds as he won the Big V division 2 MVP at the association’s annual awards dinner on Saturday.

Crowe was also named as guard in the men’s division 2 all-star five, as were Shepparton’s Matthew Waight (guard), Coburg’s Jordan Harding (forward), Pakenham’s James Topp (forward) and Keysborough’s Kevin Benn (centre).

Championship-winning coach Grant Spencer capped his first season at Melton by being named as division 2 coach of the year.
