Driver dies in Bacchus Marsh collision

A MALE driver died in a collision on the Bacchus Marsh-Geelong Road in Bacchus Marsh this morning (Thursday).

Investigators believe two cars collided after a vehicle veered into the oncoming lane about 7am.

Of the two male drivers involved in the crash, one died at the scene and the other was transported to hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Five Victorians have now died in a 24-hour period as a result of collisions.

The state’s provisional road toll sits at 135 – 21 fewer than at the same time last year.
