THE Moorabool Light Orchestra, including Robert Wrzaszcz (front), Bronwyn Akers, Greta O’Mahoney, Janelle Anthony, Barry Wilkins and Jeff Moran, is preparing for its winter performance.
Music of Stage & Screen, at Bacchus Marsh Public Hall from 2pm on August 18, will feature guests including baritone Jonathon Anthony, who will perform Bring Him Home, from Les Miserables.
Wrzaszcz and pianist Janelle Anthony will perform two songs from Schindler’s List.
The 40-member orchestra was formed in February.
Wilkins, conductor and musical director, says new members are welcome, particularly string players. “[We’re] also keen to add an additional first clarinet, second trumpet, alto saxophone and tenor trombone,” he said.
