A NEW strategy to promote a mother’s right to breastfeed in public has been launched in Moorabool.
‘‘Breastfeeding welcome’’ stickers have been put up at all council offices in support of the Moorabool Breastfeeding Support Service initiative, with other businesses and services encouraged to do the same. ‘‘Breastfeeding is an experience that differs for all women.
The service aims to address concerns and help where it can,” mayor Pat Toohey said.
Volunteers and council staff will approach businesses and other organisations in coming months, offering an information pack with practical tips on how best to support breastfeeding mothers and make people aware of their rights.
