BACCHUS Marsh is going to Mosh It Up with an all-ages live
music event this Saturday, June 29, at Bacchus Marsh Town Hall.
Mosh It Up has been organised by young people, aged 12-25, as
part of the innovative FreeZa, a state government-funded youth development
program, hosted by Moorabool Shire Council.
It will host Queensland band, Endworld’s tour, with bands
such as Driven to the Verge, Only I, Left For Wolves, Cast To Stone and Shallow
Grave.
Moorabool Mayor Cr Pat Toohey said FreeZa provided young people
interested in the entertainment or music industry the chance to stage events
for others in the community.
“Young people learn skills in event management, marketing,
making contacts and organisation”, Cr Toohey said.
Mosh It Up is a fully supervised, drug, alcohol and smoke-free
event, and will start at 2pm and finish around 7.30pm. Cost is $10 per person,
with tickets sold at the door.
