AN off-duty policeman has found himself on the wrong end of a breathalyser, following a collision in Bacchus Marsh earlier this year.
The senior constable from the North West Metro region was breath tested following a minor collision with another vehicle in March and recorded an alleged blood alcohol level of 0.153.
The police officer immediately had his license suspended and was transferred to alternate duties the following day, according to a statement issued by Victorian Police.
The constable was charged on summons on Wednesday with a drink driving charge and careless driving and has been ordered to appear at Ballarat Magistrates’ Court on August 12.
